We get to know someone as a person first, and a business card second. That way, the work that is created is a layer deeper than most. When you have this kind of trust with your partners, you can think contrary to the norm. Sure, taking chances is daring – but to us, there is an even bigger risk in staying with the status quo.
What are we curious about? Everything. We love a blank piece of paper to get things started. It helps us think outside the design box. And helps us keep asking why, as many times as we ask, why not.
There are many ways for a brand to stand out. We love being bold in our thinking, and in our design. That doesn’t mean neon colours and a bigger font. In fact, it can be quite the opposite. It can mean whispering quietly when everyone else is shouting. When elegance speaks, don’t interrupt.
A dog and his owner are a great example of loyalty. They respect each other and show unconditional love. We took that notion and infused it into all our partnerships. We don’t look at a project as simply a client and a designer creating something. We’re a team from day one and innovate together as equals. Our clients know a hell of a lot more about their business than we ever will, and we respect that. The more we talk each other’s lingo, the better the work.
